Australian progressive doom metal band The Eternal have released a new music video for the song Don’t Believe Anymore from their critically acclaimed album Waiting For The Endless Dawn.

You can watch the clip below!

Don’t Believe Anymore was originally recorded by Australian band Icehouse on their 1984 album Sidewalk. On why The Eternal chose this song to be the bands first recorded cover song, Singer /Guitarist Mark Kelson elaborates: ‘Icehouse and frontman Iva Davies are firmly cemented in Australian music history and are a huge part of the sound of Australian music in the eighties. I felt this song would sit so well amongst our other material and would also be a homage to our Australian heritage. I think this can bring to a wider audience, that Australians have been making dark and emotive music for a very long time’.

The video for Don’t Believe Anymore has been beautifully put together by long time collaborators Red Tape Pictures in Brisbane.

The Eternal released their sixth full length studio album Waiting For The Endless Dawn through Finnish label Inverse Records in August 2018. Featuring seventy five minutes of dark melancholic progressive influenced doom metal and including the epic twenty minute single The Wound. The band spent over three years writing and recording what can be best described as the their darkest and heaviest album to date.

The album has been receiving rave reviews internationally and also finished in several Top 10 albums of 2018 lists on major metal sites around the world, most importantly holding down the number four spot in Sentinel Daily‘s all-important Top Ten Australian Albums of 2018 poll. Waiting For The Endless Dawn is now available on all major online services such as Spotify, iTunes & Apple Music through Inverse Records.

The current incarnation of the band features Kelson (Alternative 4, Insomnius Dei, Cryptal Darkness), Martin Powell (My Dying Bride, Cradle of Filth, Anathema), Marty O’Shea (Dreadnaught) and Dave Langlands alongside the addition of renowned Australian guitarist Richie Poate (Dreadnaught).

Waiting For The Endless Dawn proves to be a heavy hearted, dark statement in the bands diverse and long career, which will see the band endeavouring to tour extensively and performing the album in it’s entirety in 2018 and beyond.
