Prowler are one of the UK original New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands who first appeared on the legendary MCA 1980 NWoBHM compilation album Brute Force, and now they have signed to Metal Nation Records, the label owned by ex-Tygers Of Pan Tang vocalist, Jess Cox.

The band from Essex are in the process of putting together material for their debut album. They played live in the height of the NWoBHM but never got to release their own LP. They did though do recordings over the pursuing decades with UK metal God producer, the late, lamented Chris Tsangarides, and as a tribute to Chris after his untimely passing in 2018, the band want to close the circle and make the album now.

Prowler feature original members Trev Pattenden (vocals, bass) and Martin Burrows (guitar) who can be seen in the photo here at their recording studio in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, where they have been long time residents.

The album, as yet untitled, will not be available until Summer 2021. Meanwhile, the band wished to contribute to the NWoBHM fortieth Anniversary year (1980-2020) and so a limited edition (five hundred copies) two-track download single has been released this Friday, 27th November. Both tracks are from 1980 and were produced by Chris. Bad Child Running is the title track backed by the aforementioned Brute Force original recording Gotta Get Back To You.

The artwork for this single is by Trev Pattenden.

Both these original 1980 recordings will be available for a limited period only, so get them while you can from all download and streaming sites worldwide including iTunes, Deezer, Amazon and Spotify
