Rome, the Eternal City, is baffled: a horde of French Canadians have made it their duty to chronicle the Roman Empire, showing it’s true colours as the cradle of modern civilization. We are of course talking about Kataklysm side project Ex Deo. Indulging fully in pomp and drama the bands third album The Immortal Wars offers epic war tales, melodic death metal riffs and orchestral anthems that’ll surely raise fists! Guitarist J-F Dagenais once again took on production duties, while Jens Bogren fine-tuned the whole affair at his mixing desk in Sweden.

Prepare ..Defend …Destroy!

Now Italian blooded frontman Maurizio Iacono and his converted Gauls from French Canada send the first strike from The Immortal Wars!

It’s the first song of Ex Deo’s upcoming masterpiece and it’s available NOW. Feast your ears on it below…

The band spreads the word of Rome and states: “People of Rome, there is a threat looming from Carthage, a force has awakened and we most stop the rise of Hannibal; The soundtrack to ancient Rome is here, you have waited so long … raise your Gladius with pride!”
